Be doers and not over-thinkers

What’s going on family this is my first blog and the reason I will start blogging is because I want to share with you things that are important to me. Let’s get it started! The first thing I would like to tackle is overthinking. You may ask why I would want to blog about overthinking well the answer is simple, over thinking is something I have struggled with and I am now overcoming it. Overthinking is thinking of ways to fulfill your goals for so long that you actually don’t fulfill them. Overthinking is letting something small that has occurred dominate your thinking pattern. Over thinking is thinking so long about the best way to accomplish something that you’re actually hindering the process. Don’t overthink lol like my good friend Cheno Lyfe said “you just got to go in and get it done, that’s what separates people from the pack”. I can think of so many situations where overthinking has messed me up. As a developing artist and hard critic of other artist lol I have found myself thinking too much about lyrical approach especially since I want to make sure my music lines up with my values. Or I have thought too much about releasing a song that I know is not my best for too long when I could have just used that time to fix it. Another example is I might have something to tell someone but I keep thinking about how I’m going to do it because I’m so concerned about doing things properly.  Of course you have to stop and think but eventually you got to take action.  Overthinking can be a serious problem. For example many Christians sit around thinking about and talking about things like predestination vs. free will but fail to evangelize to someone or even walk out their faith in basic areas. I’ll admit that I have fallen into worrying about things that are useless and thinking about doctrines that have nothing to do with walking out my faith. So many Christians keep thinking about things that are not worthy to be thought of for more than a certain amount of time for example the end of the world lol (no one knows) or which denomination is doing the best job. In 1 Thessalonians Chapter Five Verse One the Apostle Paul says he is not going to talk about things like the times and dates because it has no use, no one knows. So even the Apostle Paul made sure he wasn’t getting into something unnecessary but he got to the point. Let’s get to the important things.  So certain things are cool and beneficial to study and fun to think about but eventually you got to stop majoring in the minor and take action. Eventually you have to stop worrying about the Illuminati and do something productive lol.  If you don’t have a relationship with God, stop thinking about how you need salvation and receive Christ. If you know Christ stop thinking about how there is so much messed up and just get to making an impact and changing things. This is something I need to work on as well.
